I continue producing poetry, painting, Photography, music and the other arts at up to 20 venues around the North Beach area in San Francisco. You can learn about our monthly events by e-mailing me at hackettphilip5@yahoo.com. I continue writing my own poetry on a daily basis, as I have been doing since high school days in my native city of Boston, Massachusetts. I derive a lot of my ideas from being on the road for twenty-five years in the U.S., the Pacific Islands, Western and Eastern Europe, and Mexico. I have had 20 books published, some of which are available at City Lights Books or by writing me c/o P.O. Box 330168, S.F., CA 94133. Hoping you had a Merry Christmas, Happy Chanukah and a Happy New Year!

Well, nice to see you cyberside. Good Luck!

I would like to become a member of your THE POET’S GALLERY. I’ll be sending a large donation tomorrow to help support the funding of your exciting events in and around The City. Loved the poems you read in Lynn, Massachusetts. You’re an inspiration to the poets, painters and musicians.
Thank you for all you do Mr. Hackett!
Sincerely yours, Philip Chetwynd, Fine Artist, PhD
Please hand me a copy next time I see you at the Cafe Trieste. Thank you! Riki
Received several of your books, most of which are no longer in print. They were a bit costly, but well worth the expense. I especially enjoyed reading your collection of haikus and tankas (in English and Japanese) and your chinese collection in English and Mandarin. Understand you hold a PhD in Engl. Lit. and that the Mayor of San Francisco set aside every July 25th as PHILIP HACKETT DAY.
Good luck with all your future endeavors as a poet and producer.
Philip, please be sure to save a copy for me. I know you publish a lot of books in limited signed copies. I’ll be sending you a generous donation and will appreciate receiving my copy asap. Sincerely, Sima
